Supports constitutional ban on abortion "I support and have always supported passage of a constitutional amendment to protect the right to life," he says on his web site. "My convictions regarding the sanctity of life have always been clear and consistent, without equivocation or wavering. I believe that Roe v. Wade should be overturned."

In a Time Magazine interview, he said, "I may not agree with it (homosexuality) and, in fact, don't agree with it. But I respect that they have the right to do it. When they want to change the rules, though, of institutions like marriage, I feel I have a responsibility to speak out. The rules are one man, one woman for life."

Huckabee favors health savings accounts to allow Americans to purchase health insurance tax-free. He also advocates making health insurance premiums tax-deductible. He believes health insurance can be more affordable by using electronic recordkeeping and reforming medical liability.
